By Galeries pulled off a major upset in the PVL All-Filipino Conference after defeating Brooke Van Sickle and Nxled, 25-19, 17-25, 25-20, 25-21, on Thursday at the Filoil Centre in San Juan.
Erika Jin Deloria and Roselle Baliton paced the Highrisers with 16 points each, while Gayle Pascual added 13 markers.
For Baliton, the victory was a testament to the team’s unity.
“Ginusto talaga namin na manalo, at nagtulong-tulong lang,” Baliton said, according to the league website.
