MANILA, Philippines — House of Representatives Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III and former Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez have offered greetings to Filipino Muslims as the holy month of Ramadan starts, with both saying that they hope this will bring renewed faith and deeper solidarity.
In a statement on Thursday, Dy said Ramadan is a month for solemn prayer and reflection, which would remind people about one’s discipline, sacrifices, and care for others.
