By MANILA, Philippines — Senate President Pro Tempore Panfilo Lacson has assured Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla and the public that the recommendations of the Senate blue ribbon committee are still based on the pieces of evidence that they gathered from their investigation into the flood control scandal.
“Being a former congressman, Omb. Remulla knows the play of politics in both chambers of Congress,” Lacson, who heads the panel, said in a message to reporters on Wednesday.
“I can only assure him and the public that the pieces of evidence gathered during the BRC (blue ribbon committee) hearings, both testimonial and documentary, have remained as our guide in making our recommendations,” he added.
