MANILA, Philippines – Three weather systems – the northeast monsoon, or “amihan,” intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), and a low-pressure area (LPA) are forecast to trigger rains nationwide this coming All Saints and All Souls Day or “Undas” weekend, according to the state weather bureau.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Service Administration (Pagasa) on Tuesday reported that the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rain to Batanes and Babuyan Islands from Thursday to Friday.
