MANILA, Philippines — Two low-pressure areas (LPAs) are now being monitored inside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR), with cloudy skies and rain forecast in parts of Luzon, the state weather bureau said on Wednesday.
In its 5 a.m. weather update, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that the first LPA was last located in the vicinity of Patnanungan, Quezon.
Pagasa weather specialist Loriedin De La Cruz-Galicia pointed out that the LPA has weakened and has a slim chance of developing into a tropical depression in the next 24 hours.
