MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Depression (international name: Co-may) left the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) at 7:10 a.m. Saturday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its latest weather update.
Pagasa said tropical depression’s exact location is 500 kilometers northeast of Itbayat, Batanes. Its 5 a.m. cyclone bulletin reported that Emong was packing winds of up to 55 kilometers per hour (kph) and gusts of up to 70 kph.
Emong was moving north-northeastward at 45 kph and was forecast to accelerate in that direction, the state weather agency said.
