MANILA, Philippines — A low-pressure area (LPA) was spotted outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) and is forecast to bring rain showers over parts of the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Wednesday.
In its latest weather forecast at 5 a.m., Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja said the LPA was last seen in the West Philippine Sea near Pag-asa Island.
