MANILA, Philippines–San Miguel Beer beefed up its talent-laden roster before next month’s PBA Governors’ Cup by acquiring Jerrick Ahanmisi from Terrafirma in a multi-player deal approved by the league.
Coming off a splendid Commissioner’s Cup campaign, Ahanmisi is heading to the Beermen along with Paolo Hernandez in exchange for Juami Tiongson, rookie Chris Miller and a second round pick in the Season 52 Draft.
Terrafirma is unloading another player on the rise in Ahanmisi, who was ranked second in the league in scoring at 21.3 points. The former Magnolia third-string guard became the Dyip’s main offensive weapon with the ability to knock down threes and fours on a consistent basis.
