OLONGAPO CITY — The southwest monsoon or Habagat is expected to bring several days of heavy rain in Zambales province, according to the state weather bureau on Wednesday.
In an advisory at 11:00 a.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), the province is expected to experience continuous monsoon rains from Wednesday, June 3, until noon on Saturday, June 6.
Pagasa cautioned that prolonged rainfall may trigger flooding in low-lying communities and landslides in upland towns, especially where soil is already unstable.
