By MANILA, Philippines — Batangas Rep. Leandro Legarda Leviste shot down insinuations that the opposition was behind the fresh plunder complaints against Executive Secretary Ralph Recto, saying that the Palace official should check administration officials who are not happy with him.
Leviste said this on Tuesday after being asked for his side regarding Recto’s statements on the plunder complaints filed by Dr. Tony Leachon before the Office of the Ombudsman — as the executive secretary said that the opposition or Leviste could be involved with it.
According to Leviste, while the opposition is not the one that pushed for the filing of the complaints, a lot of people within the administration supposedly want him to attack Recto.
