By PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur — A late-night entrapment operation led by inter-agency operatives on Wednesday resulted in the arrest of a female suspect and the rescue of five human trafficking victims, including three minors, in Zamboanga City.
The entrapment was done at the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) compound in Barangay Upper Calarian, Zamboanga City.
The synchronized crackdown, led by the Department of Justice–Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking 9 (DOJ-IACAT9) and the Sea-Based Anti-Trafficking Task Force (SBATTF), immediately secured the three underage girls and two adult women.
