MANILA, Philippines — Four abandoned inbound parcels containing P6.9 million worth of suspected drugs were found at the Central Mail Exchange Center in Pasay City, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Friday.
The parcels were flagged last Thursday during a routine X-ray screening by Bureau of Customs personnel and later verified through K-9 and manual inspections, according to the PNP in a statement.
“Initial findings showed that the parcels originated from various international locations and were misdeclared as common items such as food and toys,” the PNP said.
