By The Philippine Association of the Record Industry, Inc. (PARI) beefed up its support for the OPM industry, including the addition of two new categories in the 39th Awit Awards and the development of the Awit Museum.
PARI — a local organization that represents major and independent music labels and the organizer of the annual Awit Awards — announced that the upcoming Awit Awards is set to be its “most inclusive and expansive” edition, starting with the addition of the Songwriter of the Year and Producer of the Year categories.
This puts the spotlight on the songwriters, producers, and the minds behind the music. However, it has yet to announce the qualifications for nomination, though it will recognize those with the “highest number of finalist entries.”
