By MANILA, Philippines — Undersecretary Juan Miguel Cuna has been named as the acting secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), while Secretary Raphael Lotilla was designated as the country’s ambassador to the Holy See, Malacañang said on Friday.
During the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) press briefing, Palace press officer and Undersecretary Claire Castro was asked if Lotilla was fired from his post, In response, Castro said that Lotilla was not asked to resign; instead, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. appointed Lotilla to head the Philippine embassy to the Holy See.
