By MANILA, Philippines — Erstwhile Tropical Depression Ada (international name Nokaen) has weakened into a low-pressure area even as a new LPA has formed outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR), the state weather bureau reported Wednesday afternoon.
In its latest advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Ada, the first cyclone to hit the country this year, was downgraded to an LPA as of 2 p.m. Wednesday.
