By MANILA, Philippines — Batangas Rep. Leandro Legarda Leviste has clarified that the documents previously handled by late Public Works Undersecretary Maria Catalina Cabral are a mere starting point and do not show the full picture in cases against those allegedly involved in the infrastructure corruption scheme.
Leviste, in an online press briefing on Friday, said that the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) and the Office of the Ombudsman can use the data in the Cabral documents — including some that he released on Wednesday and Thursday — to dig further regarding the links between the budget allocations and the infrastructure corruption.
