By Alexandra “Alex” Eala had a historic 2025 season that saw her achieve multiple milestones and etch her name in the history books of Philippine sports.
After a dream run in Eastbourne last March, where she defeated several Grand Slam champions, Eala broke into the WTA Top 100, paving the way for her main draw debuts in Grand Slam tournaments such as the French Open and Wimbledon.
While her US Open campaign was short, Eala bounced back in Guadalajara, Mexico, where she captured her first WTA 125 title — another first for Philippine tennis.
