After a rocky start to their NCAA Season 101 campaign, the Letran Knights are finally beginning to justify their preseason tag as a deep and talented squad.
The Knights endured a rough opening stretch, dropping games to youthful JRU, archrival San Beda, and last season’s runner-up Benilde to fall to a disheartening 0-3 start.
But Letran has made up for those early struggles in its last two outings after taking down Emilio Aguinaldo College and previously unbeaten Perpetual to breathe new life into its season, Titing Manalili and Deo Cuajao connived in their 84-80 win against the Generals while Jimboy Estrada found his touch to fuel a 63-56 victory over the ALTAs as they improved to 2-3 in Group B.
