By Alexa Mendoza was named the grand winner of the first edition of “Idol Kids Philippines” after impressing the judges with her rendition of Eraserheads’ “Ang Huling El Bimbo.”
The nine-year-old Mendoza, who is based in Calamba, Laguna, bested finalists Klied Cuangco and Quinn Holmes for the championship on the finale show’s debut season on Sunday, Sept. 28. Among her prizes include P1 million and a recording contact with ABS-CBN’s Star Pop, to name a few.
