MANILA, Philippines — Heavy rainfall is expected in Metro Manila and several parts of the country on Wednesday, July 23, due to the enhanced southwest monsoon, locally known as habagat, and a low-pressure area (LPA) within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), according to the weather bureau.
In its 5 a.m. rainfall outlook, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the habagat will bring intense to torrential rain, with over 200 millimeters (mm) of rainfall, over Zambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro on Wednesday.
